Want to know the history of the piazza or plaza you are standing in? Want to see if that restaurant you are about to stroll into is any good? First, will you be traveling to one country or several countries?
If you are traveling to one country, you should consider purchasing a SIM card (or renting or even buying a phone if your trip is more than a couple of weeks) for that country.
When I first got that MIFI it was the greatest device to take on a road trip. Meaning would I be able to use my Mac Book Pro on the road and get a Wi Fi internet connection off the phone? My questions are, I have seen and like the i Phone 4S, the Lucid by LG, and as far as the Mobile Hot Spots at Verizon, I have not ben able to find any reviews on the Samsung& the Mi F4510Li 4G (made by Novatel).
Is so, would this add a lot more to the price of the data plan? I have used my Droid X as a hotspot for both by i Pad and Mac Book without any trouble.
It does require a hotspot feature to be active on the account, but there is no contract associated with the feature and it can be added or removed at will without penalty.

Your cell phone locks on to the signals of the nearest cell phone towers, and stores them in memory as a way to reduce power consumption.
Occasionally, the tower locations stored in your phone's memory are used instead of the actual nearest tower, causing your signal quality to degrade.
And this spring, RIM will open its own download site exclusively for Black Berry users, which will certainly require a system update.
Updating software is simple on an i Phone; i Tunes checks for, and prompts you to download, any updates to the phone’s software every time you sync the device with your computer.
Fortunately, it's possible to force your phone to clear the tower locations stored in memory and query the nearest towers for a signal update. The power cycling will usually cause the location memory of your phone to reset, and powering on again will force it to query the nearest towers.
