Let me preface this with the fact that I have nothing against online dating.
Online dating is a great way for busy or introverted people, or those with weird schedules, or just those who want to meet new people outside their current circle and local haunts, to find romance or a hookup or a husband or wife or friend with benefits.
We have previously reviewed the major dating apps from both a woman's and man's perspective, but we were surprised which apps did the best in an analysis of user reviews.
In particular, Hinge, one of our favorites, did not fare well.
“It was—unbelievably—not a crazy experience.” Online dating has certainly lost its lonely-hearts stigma. There are many dating sites with different types of people and not all dating sites are necessarily right for you. Some sites have specific types of members from a certain background or religion, while others have a more diverse mix.Just look at how many people seeking dates or mates are flocking to matchmaking sites and apps.According to a 2015 study by the Pew Research Center, 15 percent of American adults have used online dating sites (web-based platforms like Match.com) and/or dating apps (location-based smartphone apps like Tinder).
But that doesn't mean all dating apps are created equal.
